Situation Analysis

The escalating violence caused by the Non-State Armed Group (NSAG) in Northeast Nigeria and high-risk flooded geographical areas across the country has led to an increase in the number of displaced individuals.

The recent 13 per cent new displacement is like what was experienced in the year 2018 which further represents a deteriorating situation.

The impact of the flood has also resulted in fluid mobility and put a larger proportion of the affected population at severe risk of food insecurity, malnutrition, and extreme exposure to disease.

With the high number of people living in protracted displacement, the advancement of durable solutions is critical thereby reducing underlying risks, humanitarian dependencies, and vulnerabilities and ensuring resilience.

The vulnerability analysis output resulted in more women and girls, particularly those with multiple needs including adolescent girls and young women in dire need of humanitarian aid.

Cosmic Nudge Empowerment Foundation (CNEF) creates the enabling environment for their voices to be heard and accountable throughout the process.
